Dr. Christopher Owens is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. Dr. Owens serves as the medical director at Goshen Orthopedics. He is the team physician for the Elkhart County Miracle minor league baseball team and Concord High School and also serves as an orthopedic consultant for Goshen High School, Fairfield High School and Northridge High School. He has previously provided medical team coverage for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, minor league baseball’s Charlotte Knights, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Davidson College.

Dr. Owens believes that quality health care involves determining how all aspects of a person’s life impact his or her health. He approaches each patient with deep personal commitment, building a relationship based on compassion and honesty that helps him provide everyone with the best possible care. Dr. Owens considers all options and then develops a treatment plan that may include both nonsurgical and surgical options to help minimize pain and maximize recovery.

In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his daughter’s middle school basketball team and his son’s Little League baseball team.
